hey guys lately I have been using RPM based distros because my new company uses them. recently I got my hand on Korora 21. well after a couple of setbacks with gnome I found I can switch enviroment to XFCE of cinnamon. wow a LM flavor in this distro. I installed Korora cinnamon on my sons laptop.... found out that I be using his latop... which was running windows vista on it for quite some time. due to its limited system resources the laptop would crash alot or freeze. after installing K-cin and not even XFCE the laptop was literallly pimped out.
-disadvatanges with Korora and latest fedora RPM.
kernel will kill you if you don't know how to fix it easy to fix though through terminal. I can help with that though a quick simple step copy and paste to fix your yum and yumex and you will be just fine. added some on the side repositories becase the official is not the greatestl.
-advantages with Korora and latest fedora RPM
kernel is very sturdy when not updated. yumex is a very powerful tool. although ubuntu and linux mint come with a big package out of the box, korora has a wider range of software you can download.
